Possible tabling-July 8 Pop-Up in the Park. When more Popsicles with Police are planned, she will send me dates. Typically have 50-60 people and last 1.5 hours. Opportunity for recruitment for new members. Will likely be in Summerlake and Cook Family Parks in late-July/early-August. Dating violence social media campaign. Could TYAC create a video for Instagram or carousel – signs to look out for? Group expressed interest. Co-event with STUDD (Stop Tigard Underage Drinking & Drugs) - discussed possibility briefly. New City Manager just selected – Public Works Director and current Acting City Manager Brian Rager. August 31 no meeting. Next meeting July 20 will have Trinity Miller, Planner at Community Development. City Recorders Office Visit Carol Krager, City Recorder and Lindsay Bartholomenw, Deputy City Recorder. Roberts’ Rules of Order – – Tentative agenda – items to go before Council. –– retention schedule. Agendas & minutes are permanent. Other things don’t need to be kept forever but – – – –they don’t Public employees can’t promote any particular candidate on work time. Tries to treat everyone fairly. – –––– –when city changes laws, there’s an announcement. – – – – changing, doesn’t get boring. Can’t get too rigid. Can’t be too shy, not averse to public speaking. Feel – Robert’s Rules of Order th – track who was yes, who was no, who was abstain. You can also amend motions. “I’d like to move that we do THIS instead.” “I move that we change the meeting time...” And then someone has to second it. And if no one does, it dies. “Okay, now we have a second. Is ssion?” Then someone can amend the motion with a new idea. “Is there a second?” Pr – – majority to pass. When it’s 50/50 it doesn’t pass.
