Youth Councilor Report and Staff Updates
Staff Liaison Richardson: City Council meeting item - TYAC President and Vice President co-present the
TYAC Annual Report tomorrow on May 12 as well as civic education transition. Pride Parade & Festival –
May 23. Four city events are on the table to be cut from 2026-2027 budget: Pride, Juneteenth, 4th of
July, El Tigre. There is a public Budget Committee meeting tonight. Aside from Pride, opportunity to
volunteer at multiple upcoming city events as well as Farmers Market. No meeting May 25 – Memorial
Day.
Pride Parade TYAC Group Planning
Get City logo on parade car? Tie-dye matching shirts – dye together this weekend. Bring business cards
or flyers to hand out to recruit for new members. Alex will buy candy and have at Parade start point.
Decorations – make posters on own at home.
May 11 Annual Report Presentation
Kai and Chelsy practiced their presentation which they will deliver at tomorrow’s City Council meeting,
which is an annual report of the past year’s TYAC activity.
