TIGARD CITY COUNCIL
ORDINANCE NO. 26- /2
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 10.30 OF THE TIGARD MUNICIPAL CODE "RESIDENTIAL
PARKING ZONES"TO CHANGE THE DATE FOR REAPPLICATION SUBMITTALS
WHEREAS, the City of Tigard is engaged in efforts to modernize its enterprise systems, including
adoption of a new system, Enterprise Permitting and Licensing(EPL),to support permit and license
administration, including residential parking permits; and
WHEREAS, past practice has traditionally been to start receiving permit reapplications after July 1st
of each year, despite the code's requirement to receive them before July 1st; and
WHEREAS, the new EPL system will match practice and begin receiving reapplications after July
1st; and
WHEREAS, the Tigard Police Department desires to revise the language of this ordinance to align
with current practice.
NOW,THEREFORE,THE CITY OF TIGARD ORDAINS AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1: Tigard Municipal Code Section 10.30.050 is amended to read as follows(additional
language in underline;deleted text in str eegh):
C. A resident must reapply each year for all parking permits, on or after befere
July 1st. All permits are good from July 1st to June 30th, regardless of when
the permit was purchased. Costs for permits may be prorated on a semi-
annual basis.
SECTION 2: This ordinance shall be effective 30 days after its passage by the council, signature
by the mayor, and posting by the city recorder.
