6:00 p.m. 1. Call to Order and Roll Call
Chair will call the meeting to order. Recorder will conduct roll call.
6:02 p.m. 2. Approval of Minutes: May 11, 2026
6:05 p.m. 3. Public Comment
Call for comments from the public.
6:10 p.m. 4. Lasich Property Native Plant Nursery Project
Senior Parks Maintenance Utility Worker, Will Knab, will give a presentation on
his Capstone Project as part of Will’s participation in the Oregon Recreation and
Parks Association Leadership Academy Cohort Class 2026 entitled “The Lasich
Property Native Plant Nursery”.

6:35 p.m. 5. Public Works Department Communication Update
Public Works Community Engagement Coordinator, Jessica Love, will provide
information on upcoming Public Works programs and activities of interest to the
Park and Recreation Advisory Board.
6:50 p.m. 6. Parks and Recreation Manager Update
Parks, Recreation and Green Infrastructure Manager, Rick Gruen, will provide
updates on park related policies, programs, and projects of interest.

7:00 p.m. 7. Recreation Update
Update, overview, and future Recreation offerings from Kaitlyn Leaf, Recreation
Program Coordinator and Justin More, Recreation Program Specialist.
7:10 p.m. 8. Park Updates
Projects and operations update from Parks Supervisors, Martin McKnight and
Greg Stout.
7:20p.m. 9. Advocacy Items
Parking lot from prior PRAB meetings for further discussion at a later date:
o Park policy/rules - trail safety; drone use
o Park policy - maintaining the integrity and existing footprint of parks; protect
park assets from being monetized to outside interest/uses
o Support for Trail System funding strategy
o Support for Park Ranger position

Upcoming Meetings:
• PRAB Special Meeting – Monday, July 13, 2026, 5:15 p.m. at Cook Family Park.
