N.• P WHEREAS, Pride Month was inspired by the Stonewall Uprising, which began on June 28, �. -

f , 1969, when LGBTQIA+ community members, including trans women of color, stood against
harassment, discrimination, and unequal treatment; and • -' -

�,c,00-' WHEREAS, Pride Month is an opportunity to honor those who fought for equal rights and to

�, � recognize the ongoing work needed to ensure that every person can live openly, safely, �..�; _. and authentically; and
,' -• WHEREAS, everyone is entitled to dignity, respect, and equal rights, regardless of sexual -___-, I
orientation, gender identity, or gender expression; and r,. '*'
