! WHEREAS, April is recognized nationally as Child Abuse Prevention Month, a time to raise •r �r:.
1 awareness about the importance of protecting children and supporting families in our ,'•I,,.
communities; and .-

1 WHEREAS, every child deserves to grow up in a safe, stable, and nurturing environment
where they can learn, grow, and thrive; and „, `'
�_ , WHEREAS, preventing child abuse and neglect requires the commitment of an entire 'l`"
4, community, including families, educators, service providers, law enforcement, and
;',:'I4- `- community organizations working together to support children and strengthen families; and -` `t.
; � WHEREAS, members of the Tigard Police Department, along with community partners,
, work throughout the year to help recognize concerns, respond to situations where children 1� •{fir '
may be at risk, and support efforts that help prevent harm before it occurs; and I_• 'r 4
