Welcome and Check-In: Happy New Year!
• Special Guest: Mayor Hu. Mayor Hu shared about his background, what a day as Mayor
looks like, and answered questions from members.
• Special Guest: Maddie Bauer, Community Engagement Coordinator, Tigard Police
Department. Maddie shared how TYAC members can get involved in the new Public
Works/Police department facility bond ballot measure. Zoey will connect with Maddie
about outreach ideas, Kai will flyer at Sylvania and Rock Creek PCC campuses, and Asher
will flyer downtown Tigard and connect with John about a possible THS assembly that
mentions bond.
• Announcements: no meeting until Feb 2. Feb 2 will be a two-hour, special strategic
planning meeting. Meeting Feb 16 is cancelled for President’s Day –next meeting after
that is March 2.
• March 27 Family Promise movie: Asher, Kai, and Faith are interested in doing movie. Will
do planning at next couple of meetings. (TTSD Spring Break is March 23-27)
• April 8: Braver Angels Tualatin YAC joint event at Tualatin Town Hall. Chelsy and Faith
attended the Zoom planning meeting with Tualatin YAC and shared their takeaways.
