DRIVER ARRESTED AFTER CRASHING INTO A HOUSE
The driver of a truck was arrested after he crashed into a house in the middle of the
night. Fortunately, the family inside was not hurt.

happened just before 3:00 AM in the 13000 block of SW
Larkwood Place. Witnesses reported the driver was driving

recklessly and speeding before the crash. Officers believe he
iL was heading westbound on SW Scholls Ferry Road, hit a dirt
, IIIMill mound on the side of the road and launched roughly 100
feet into the air and over a 3-foot brick wall before crashing

D� -.' s When officers arrived, the driver was initially unconscious,

�y and both he and a passenger were trapped inside the truck.
Firefighters with Tualatin Valley Fire & Rescue had to
extricate them both, and they were taken to the hospital with
minor injuries.
°. Pi. Thankfully, the family in the home was not hurt, but there is

w. r The driver has been identified as Jacob Hankins, age 33. He

-- - was charged with reckless driving and recklessly
endangering.
We're thankful no one was seriously hurt. We appreciate the
} help from neighboring agencies in responding to this crash,
