• WHEREAS, Laurie Vizzini, a proud Tigard High School graduate, has demonstrated I `' ,''
extraordinary dedication, teamwork, and leadership throughout her athletic career, inspiring ': "'

;'-- WHEREAS, during her time at Tigard High School, Laurie distinguished herself as an ,; '•``1
outstandingmulti-sort athlete, hel in lead her teams to remarkable success, includin four '' � �
consecutive state championship tournament appearances in basketball and three state titles ,
in girls soccer; and

WHEREAS,she continued her exceptional journey at the University of Tennessee, where
she competed in four consecutive national championship games and helped secure three
national titles; and

WHEREAS, beyond her competitive achievements, Laurie has devoted more than two
decades mentoring and training young athletes, encouraging teamwork, confidence, and a 4<4ik7;
character while helping shape the next generation of leaders; and i'
WHEREAS, her commitment to uplifting others, inspiring young people, and giving back ';•
through sport reflects the values of the Tigard community; and
WHEREAS, in recognition of her extraordinary accomplishments and lasting impact, Laurie
Vizzini will be inducted into the Oregon Sports Hall of Fame on February 17, 2026. -
