across East Asia, Southeast Asia, and around the world, marking a time of renewal, , "'

i WHEREAS, Lunar New Year traditions are rooted in centuries of history and take many I
' � •'r+ " forms, includingcultural performances, arts and crafts, food, familygatherings, and customs 4� '
K �,), ' that emphasize gratitude, good fortune, and community connection; and •„,,v i
' -'40- WHEREAS, these traditions are shared bymanycultures and peoples, fostering ` _ 1' I

�` WHEREAS, on February 28, the City of Tigard joins community members, families, and •ct l r
visitors at Washington Square Mall for a Lunar New Year celebration featuring cultural ,,,,
