Plan Revisions and Clarifications to Drag Trusses
PLAN CHANGES AND CLARIFICATIONS
1. An opening shall be created in between trusses, in place of a drag truss to allow for
personnel access throughout the attic. The opening shall be field-framed with 2x4's
between trusses while maintaining a 31-01'minimum clearance between the bottom of
the trusses and the field-framed section. This will minimize the amount of attic access
points required while accounting for the transfer of lateral loads. See the detail attached
to this bulletin (page 2)for clarification. This shall serve as an allowable method of
construction for all future 40 and 60 plans.
