The power supplies may be connected to any 12V or 24V(FWR or DC)Fire Alarm Control Panel(FACP)by using a NAC or a"Dry Contact." Primary applications include NAC expansion(supports ADA requirements)and auxiliary power to support system accessories. This unit provides filtered and regulated 24VDC,up to four(4)Class "B','two(2)Class'A;or two(2)Class"B"and one(1)Class"A" Notification Appliance Circuits. With the optional plug-in PS-EXP module the unit supports(8)Class"B"or(4)Class'A' Notification '"it Appliance Circuits.Additionally,an auxiliary power output of 2.5 Amps(disconnected upon AC power loss or an alarm condition)or - up to 0.240 A of constant power on the PS-8-LP. The Wheelock power supplies can accommodate 7 AH batteries inside its lockable chassis.Using an external battery cabinet it can charge up to 33 AH batteries(pending UL testing). Two FACP NAC circuits or two"Dry"contact initiating circuits can be connected to the inputs. These inputs can then be directed to control supervision and power delivery to any combination of the four(4)outputs. Each output is rated at 3.0 Amps(Class"B")or(Class"A")and can be programmed to generate a steady or Code 3 temporal horn sound and a strobe output under alarm condition.Total load for PS-8-LP NAC circuits must not exceed the power supplies rated output. The power supplies under non-alarm condition provide independent supervision for Class"A"and Class "B" FACP NAC circuits. In the event of circuit trouble, the FACP will be notified via the POWERPATH steered input(IN1 or IN2). Each Model LCM-8 module contains eight (8) groups of two (2) LEDs-each of which can be assigned to desired outputs using the Zeus-D programming software. Eight (8) LEDs are capable of being lighted either RED or GREEN (flashing or steady). The remaining LEDs are AMBER(flashing or steady). A space is provided for labeling of LED functions. The label slides behind a clear, protective membrane. Model LCM-8 dimensions are identical to Model SCM-8,and Model LCM-8 is mounted on the same hinged panel as a part of the Desigo Fire Safety Modular system command console enclosure. Any combination of Models SCM-8-and LCM-8 modules may be used. FCM-6 Model FCM-6 is a Desigo Fire Safety Modular system command-console option module that provides manual control of building heating I ventilation I air-conditioning (HVAC) system fans and dampers. Each Model FCM-6 module provides six (6) sets of three (3) push-button switches for manual system control. Each switch has three (3)associated LEDs to indicate Fan / Damper status:'OFF'(RED LED),'ON'(GREEN LED),'TROUBLE'(YELLOW LED). When in the automatic position, the RED and GREEN LEDs indicate Fan I Damper status('ON'I'OFF') based on the system logic that can be programmed to automatically control the fan outputs. When manually switched to the'OFF'position, the RED LED will flash, indicating the output circuit used to turn off the Fan I Damper has activated. The RED LED will light a steady stream of RED to indicate positive feedback of the Fan I Damper actually turning off(via a monitored input). When manually switched to the'ON'position, the GREEN LED will flash, indicating the output circuit used to turn on the Fan I Damper has activated. The GREEN LED will light to a steady GREEN to indicate positive feedback of the Fan I Damper actually turning on(via a monitored input.) For instance, the field technician selects the accessory's program mode, and enters the desired address. Vibration, corrosion and other conditions that deteriorate mechanical-addressing mechanisms are no longer a cause for concern. Model XTRI-series interface module is connected to Model DPU with the programming cable provided with the tester. NOTE: Since the XTRI-series of interface modules are advanced initiating devices, the latest Model DPU firmware update is required. Model DPU eliminates the need for cumbersome, unreliable mechanical programming methods (e.g. dials and rotary switches), and reduces installation and service costs by electronically programming and testing the module prior to installation. When set in 'test' mode, Model DPU will perform a series of diagnostic tests without altering the address or other stored data, allowing technicians to determine if the module is operating properly. Each field-device programmer I test unit operates on AC power or rechargeable batteries, providing flexibility and convenience in the programming I testing of fire-safety equipment from practically any location. Additionally, with the use of a Model DPU unit, there is no longer a cause for concern with any vibration, corrosion and other deteriorating conditions that can accompany the vitality of a mechanical-addressing mechanism. Siemens Data Sheet 7343 Building Technologies Division usa.siemens.com/desigo-fire-safety Product Overview—(continued ) Model ZIC-8B contains an on-board microprocessor, which allows notification-circuit outputs to function in a degrade mode—even if the main Desigo Modular processor or the local-network-communication link has failed. In degrade mode, Model ZIC-8B will respond to an 'Alarm' or 'Trouble' command from any intelligent, addressable initiating device or conventional-zone initiating device connected in the same local enclosure. Standard NAC Zone— Each of the eight(8)circuits on ZIC-8B can be configured for use as a standard NAC. The NAC output can be used as a steady, coded, horn I strobe synchronized, horn 1 strobe synchronized with silence-able horn, strobe synchronized,or unsynchronized strobe output. The available coding includes ANSI Temporal, March Time 120 pulse per minute (PPM), March Time 60 PPM, March Time 30 PPM, Canadian Two-stage 30 PPM, Canadian Two-stage 120 PPM and custom coding. Using the horn 1 strobe synchronized setting for the outputs allows Siemens horns, strobes and horn I strobes to synchronize all horns in a temporal pattern. The horn I strobe synchronized setting for the outputs also allow all strobes to flash simultaneously. The silenceable setting will allow the operator to silence the horns, while keeping the strobes active. Outputs may be programmed through logic to transmit — up to three (3) different signal types — depending on event priority. For instance, the same circuit can be programmed to transmit the ANSI Temporal pattern for evacuation, March Time 120 PPM for tornado notification, and a custom code for recall. Standard Speaker Zone— Each of the eight (8) circuits on Model ZIC-8B can be configured for use as a standard- speaker circuit in single or dual-channel systems. Dual-channel operation requires the optional Model ZIC-2C module, which is mounted to a connector directly on Model ZIC-8B. No additional mounting space is required for the ZIC-2C. Model ZIC-8B can be used with the Model ZAM-801180 bulk amplifier or the Model ZAC-40 amplifier card. Model ZIC-8B is limited to 25 Watts max.l zone at 25V(when the zone is active.) At 70V, Model ZIC-8B is limited to 30 Watts max.I zone.
