The purpose of the Park and Recreation Advisory Board is to advise and
advocate for park and recreation opportunities for a growing Tigard.

1. Call to Order and Roll Call
The meeting was called to order at 7:03 p.m. by Wayne Gross.
2. Approval of Minutes: May 13, 2019 and June 10, 2019
The board members present did not achieve a quorum to approve the May 13, 2019,
and June 10, 2019 minutes.

3. Comments from the Audience

4. Recognition of new PRAB Members
Recognition of new voting member, Sean Ernes and new alternate, Natalie
Offenbecher.
5. Parks Updates
Steve Martin gave the following updates:
• Parks department is in the process of hiring 2 FTE
• Parks department has taken over new park property, Ann and Heights and
is in the process of cleaning it up.
6. Recreation Updates
■ First Pop-Up in the Park was very successful with about 225 attendees.
• Fanno Creek House updates
o Finishing up maintenance work
o Plan to start promotion of rentals in August through Activity Guide
and new tri-fold pamphlet
o A Management Analyst in Public Works is completing a cost analysis
for the Fanno Creek House
o Recreation team plans to go council regarding raising fees/charges.
7. PRAB Future Meetings
Park Tour in August.
8. Fanno Creek House Tour
Toured the newest additions and features of the Fanno Creek House.
9. Non —Agenda Items
--New suggestion-that-the-Metzger-School Park-be named after-a-resident-of Tigard-that -
taught at Metzger Elementary School. Steve Martin will go to council with this
suggestion to see what to do next. PRAB members support this suggestion.
10. Executive Session
An executive session was held.
11. Adjourn
The meeting was adjourned at 8:28 p.m.
