wall under the existing front door will be removed, and the existing slab-on-grade of the
lower level will be extended into the new addition, terminating at the new stem wall to
be built under the new front door.

Hi Allyson,
No worries. For the insulation, I will be putting rigid foam insulation on the inside of the stem wall to meet or
exceed the required insulation value. The slab will have a standard vapor barrier, and the stem wall will have a
waterproof elastomeric coating applied (Sher-Crete).
Attached is the PE letter. If you need anything else,just let me know.

Yes, go ahead and just write out what your plan for insulation and waterproofing and have the engineer provide the
stamped letter for the stem wall being cut and removed. Sorry for the confusion.
