The entry for this house was pulled forward so that there is no cantilever at the second floor anymore. The upper level wall
bears directly on the lower level entry wall. This removed the need for the 3 '/2 X 12 Glulam that is shown on the SI page.
The entry wall can be typically framed with a 4x8 header over the door or a 6x8 if the door and the sidelight are one unit.
