ORDINANCE NO. 19-0
AN ORDINANCE REPEALING TIGARD MUNICIPAL CODE CHAPTER 10.40, RELATING TO
ANIMALS ON CITY SIDEWALKS
WHEREAS,Tigard Municipal Code (TMC) Chapter 10.40, Sidewalks, currently prohibits horses,ponies,goats,
or other animals from being ridden or led on a city sidewalk or from pulling a cart or wagon on a city sidewalk;
and
WHEREAS,TMC 10.40 was adopted in 1977 and is no longer relevant.
NOW,THEREFORE,THE CITY OF TIGARD ORDAINS AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1: Tigard Municipal Code Chapter 10.40 is repealed in its entirety as shown below (deleted
text in stiiketkreugh):
shall any person cause any such animal to be led or driven along the sidewalks for the
puni3hcd by a fine not to exceed ten dollars
SECTION 3: This ordinance shall be effective 30 days after its passage by the council, signature by the
mayor,and posting by the city recorder.
