Per UMC section 603(d)1, for a building that is not tight construction, 1000 btuh of heat input per 50 cubic feet of room volume is considered adequate room volume for room source combustion air. We wish to substitute three (3) additional sprinkler heads at the openings. This is a considerable monetary savings and, in verbal discussions, we have had a favorable reaction. The plant is fully sprinklered including the addition. Due to its size as a separate building with its separation, it did not require sprinklering.
