The fascia and soffit at the eave are constructed in the same manner as the exterior walls of the building, except that, at the eave, the interior component of the fire assembly is the rated suspended ce;ling separating the third floor area from the attic space, whereas the interior component at the walls is 5/8 inch thick type "X" gypsum wallboard applied directly to the inside face of the steel wall studs.
