Washington Square Road Portland, Oregon 97223 Dear Mr. Fleenor: The plans for the alteration of and "greenhouse" addition to this restaurant, formerly called Dungeness Dans, have been examined with reference to applicable fire safety regulations. As a result, we are listing as follows certain re- quirements which must be observed during the course of development and for which we found no provisions in the submitted drawings. I . The automatic sprinkler protection which serves this building must be extended to cover the new addition. The plans, therefore, must be submitted to and approved by this office prior to making any alterations to the system. 3. Although the tables and booths were shown in the sub- mitted drawings no seating plan was included showing the number of chairs and therefore the proposed occupant load. The occupant load of this restaurant must not exceed one person for each 15 square feet of net floor area available for seating. It is understood that a full seating plan will be forthcoming. 4. Insp^ction and approval of construction by this office is rrquired: a) prior to the cover of any rew framing elements. b) upon completion of the project and prior to the use and occupancy of the new addition. One set of approved plans bearing the stamps of the Wash- ington County Building Department and this office must be maintained at ,.he project site throughout all phases of construction and must be made available to building and fire inspectors for reference durin9 required construction inspections. 6. Upon completion of construction and prior to the use and occupancy of the new addition, a Certificate of Occupancy or other written authorization must be obtained from the Washington County Building Department. Subject to the foregoing comments and stipulations, the plans under discussion are hereby approved. We trust this letter will assist in clearing the way for the further development of your project.
