Basel upon the floor area of the suite and the various designated uses of the rooms within the suite, the calculated potential occupant load exceeds 50. Where occupant loads are 50 or more, exit door.; must be hinged to sr.ing outward in the direction of exit travell . This calculate6 occupant load and regulation have a direct affect upon the dcor assembly labeled 8/1 . That is, the doors must be hinged to swing outword. The problem that arises is that when this is done with the doors in the present location, obstructs access to the exit stairway. At no point in the arc of their swing may doors reduce the req ired corridor width by less thea one-half; i .e. by less than 22 inches. Accordingly, some farm of revision for this door assembly will be required.
