Exit signs should be in block letters, six inches in height, with a stroke of not less than 3/4 of an inch. Signs shall be internally or externally illuminated by two electric lamps or shall be of a self-luminous type. (ref: Sec. 3314 U.B.C. ) Doors shall he openable from the inside without the use of a key, special knowledge or effort.. Require- ments shall not apply to the main door of this occupancy if there is a readily visible, durable sign on or adjacent to the door stating "THIS DOOR TO REMAIN UNLOCKED DURING BUSINESS HOURS."
