Purpose: Observe Lot 85 Sub/grade
Outstanding Issues: .. *RESOLVED*
I observed crew had placed and compacted over lot 85 subgrade (see site plan). Angela with Polygon informed me
crew had removed the previously observed muck from the eastern half of the lot, and placed approx. 2-inches to 3-
inches of crushed rock. We recommend compaction of the loose crushed rock, I was informed crew had over-
excavated approx. 18-inches to firm brown silt subgrade in the approx. footing areas. Using a%"diameter steel pin
and 6Ib sledge, I observed the relative compaction of the crushed rock backfill. Pin resistance (number of blows
required to drive the pin 12") indicated generally dense conditions. I was informed the area for the garage and
driveway will receive approx. 18-inches to 36-inches of granular fill, and the multi-use trench compacted at a later
date.
Based on our observations and conversations with Polygon, it is our opinion Lot 85 observed today, as indicated on
the attached site plan, is being prepared in general accordance with our geotechnical recommendations.
