We have had a very busy week this week. I checked with our commercial plans examiner,Tom Hochstatter,and he would like to see (2)sets of exhaust fan cutsheets to review prior to issuing the mechanical permit. On the mechanical permit application you have "no contractor needed." I am not sure if you intend to complete the exhaust fan installation or not, but the installation must be made by the permanent employee of the owner;otherwise,a licensed contractor must complete the installation. Also,you entered $0.00 fees for both the mechanical and plumbing permit fees on the applications. Since we need to review and inspect the exhaust fan replacement and the sink replacement, permits are required,and permit fees will be assessed. The permit fees for the mechanical permit will be $100.80 and the permit fees for the plumbing permit will be$81.20. The processing of emailed permit applications takes us between 2-3 business days,and I will try to complete both of them on Thursday if you can email exhaust fan cutsheets to TigardBuildingPermits@tigard-or.gov. Since you have applied for the plumbing and mechanical permits for unit 21, I have removed the parcel lock on the Alderbrook Apartments. Inspections can now be scheduled at your convenience for the second story balcony permits. Please let me know if you have questions. Unit#21 had minor electrical work completed and was"permitted" using a minor label that was placed on the breaker box back in Dec 2018 when the work was completed.The work completed was basic electrical work and did not require any further attention on our end at the time(Invoice attached for your review). Since this was the case,we did not file a permit for the work.Let me know if investigation fees still apply for electrical as well as if this is incorrect on my end. Units 14 and 15 both have second story decks that were constructed without permits in addition to recent electrical work that was not permitted as of December 19, 2018. Once these permits are obtained, we will � k . remove the parcel lock. To obtain the building permits for the decks,we will need to receive (1)completed commercial building permit I r application for each unit, (2) sets of engineering calculations with (1)wet stamp, and (3) sets of plans including a site plan that is drawn to scale. The engineering calculations may be combined with the plans, in which case (3) sets of j } engineering calculations will suffice. I have attached a commercial building permit application, an electrical permit Iapplication, and a site plan guide above for you to reference. Due to the parcel lock, an electrical permit cannot be created online. Also, the supervising electrician must sign the application before we can process this permit. The electrical permit application can be submitted in person with the building permits between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., Monday through Thursday. We are closed on Fridays. Lastly, investigative fees of$100.80 will be assessed for(2) building permits and (1) electrical permit. These investigative fees will be in addition to the permit fees.
