04/09/1974 - Minutes Library Board Meeting of April 91r - Morning The President , Jeri Cundiff, called the meeting to order. Those present were Yvonne Burgess, Don Jacabs, Mary Slemons, Jean Carlisle, and Anne Hicks, librarian. The minutes were read and approved as read. Under Old Business- The Washington County Network of Libraries meeting was brought up- the librarian will go to the April 11 meeting. There is a meeting on April 22 in Hillsboro to discuss the Oregon State Library taws Revision. No one is able to go. The Oregon Library Association convention is to be held April 26-27-28. The librarian will go to the 270 day session and the 280 breakfast and report back. During the meeting, Mr. Baldwin of the Oregon State Library arrived. The librarian reported their discussion. Now that CRAG has approved, HEW is next and then we can have our money for the grant. Yvonne Burgess brought up the idea that colored tapes could be put on the backs or spines of the books to denote age group- red for pre-school,etc. the librarian mentioned that Mrs. Christiansen said she would donate a cassette player to the library this year for the children's room. Meeting adjourned.
