LIBRARY BOARD MEETING MINUTES" FEB 10 1:30 PM
Meeting opened by the Chairman Jeri Cundiff. Those present were
Don Jacobs, Jeri, Yvonne Burgess, Jean Carlisle, and Anne Hicks.
The minutes were read and approved as corrected.
Under OLD BUSINESS- 1/2 of the new room will be opened in late
Feb. The remainder in April. Joe Chamberlain offered to donate
heaters. We would like to open the fireplace and put in electric
logs- but might have a wattage problem. There will be an entrance
and window in the remaining half of the non-fiction room.
Everyone was reminded that the Oounty Levy will be placed on the
May primary subject to the County Commissioners'approval.
Under NEW BUSINESS The Friends of the Library will be presenting
a decoupage program in March instead of April.
We requested that we store the counter for racific- no reply yet.
Forest Grove Library will be sending us a collection of large
print books on loan. The suggestion was made that we ask the Lions
to start a shelf of large print because of their interest in eyes.
We are asking for plants to decorate the library now that we have
window space and eventually easy chairs.
We inherited a display case.
Our Thursday nights are becoming busier and are really spreading
the load from the other days. Very sucessful.
