Call to Order The regular meeting of the Tigard Library
&Roll Call Board was called to order by acting chairman
Jeri Cundiff, at 7:45 PM at the Tigard Public
Library on June 14, 1977.
Present : Jeri Cundiff, Betsy Chick, Don Jacobs,
and Irene Ertell. Excused: Yvonne Burgess,
Absent : Mary Slemons.
Reports: The minutes for 10 May 1977 were approved,
Old Business: The Librarian reported on the June- 6 City Council
study session at which the BoRrd's suggestions
for revising chapter 2. 36 of the municipal
code were discussed.
Jeri Cundiff reported on the Washington County
Cooperative Library System workshop held June
1 at the Hillsboro Library.
The Librarian reported that a new job description
is being written for CETA employee Karrin Hawes
and added to the present staff allotment. The
Librarian vacancy will remain on the organizational
chart, but will be unfilled for the time being.
This comes as a result of a recommendation
by the City Administrator and approval of the
City Council.
New Business: The Librarian relayed a request from WCCLS coor-
dinator Donna Selle to submit at least two
names for nomination to the Citizens Advisory
Board for WCCLS. Names must be submitted before
June 17, 1977. The Board asked the Librarian to
contact Jean Carlisle as a possible nominee.
