Sandy Portland, Crngon 97212 Dear Mr. 3onadurer: Re .iulbert's Country Inn S.:.J.Shady Lane at Cr.eenhurg, Tigard Thank you very much for forwarding the beating arrangement and fixture" floor plan drawing for this occupancy which we received on February 11, 1974. It is immediately apparent that we miscalculated the area of dining room 1 in our initial examination of the construction plane since had it figured as accommodating a potential occupant load of 153. Your proposal to seat 90 patrons in this area is an accurate calculation with reference to the floor area to occupant standard. Providing seating facilities for 53 persona in the lounge area will be overcrowding this space a little bit. Our calculations indicate that it will eccommodste a maximum of 54 per, ons. On the other hand, the bar will., according to our figures, handle roughly 60 people and you have proposed r-) installing only 33 seatn in this space. it is our recommendation 9 seats he shifted from the lounge area into the bar. As regards the remaining assembly rooms, i.e. dining roomn 2 and 3, sp- pazently our r.•alculati.one arm a little mune cor:ree:!vetiw, than yours in renpect to the occupancy in each case. In reference to `vection 2-A of Division 6 of the specifications relating to firontopping, where said stopping is pierced to accommodate wiring, plumbing, or other utility rune, following the installation thereof all such openings must be packed in a manner which will effectively preserve the integrity of the fireatopping. Fire:stopping is required in wood frame wells and partitions at ceiling and floor liras (as prescribed in the specifications) and between stair stringers at top and bottom and between studs along And in line with the run of the stairs in the adjoining wood stud walls end partitions.
