Call to Order and Roll Call The meeting was called to order at 7:00 p.m. by Wayne Gross. 2. Approval of Minutes: April 9, 2018 Dave Brown moved to approve the April 9, 2018 meeting minutes. Troy Mears seconded the motion. The minutes were approved by a unanimous vote of the board members present with Wayne Gross, Scott Winkels, Ben Holmes, Troy Mears, and Dave Brown voting yes. Claudia Ciobanu was not present at the time of the vote. 3. Comments from the Audience There were no comments. 4. Update on the PARF Mr. Martin said that an update on the Park and Recreation Fee would be presented after the July City Council meeting. 5. Update on the Parks CIP Mr. Martin provided a packet with information regarding current Parks CIP projects including projects such as: ® Americans with Disabilities Act Transition Plan ® Bull Mountain Trail • Tiedeman Crossing 6. Discussion of Transient Lodging Tax Nothing new to report at this time, still thinking about ideas to draw crowds and people. 7. Parks and Recreation Updates Mr. McKnight gave the following updates: • Preparation for Balloon Fest, coming up June 22 thru June 24 have begun. • The Summerlake Park irrigation renovation is almost complete. • Resurfacing of the Bonita Park basketball courts is complete. • Park reservation requests have increased significantly. Mr. Markey gave the following updates: _ PARK& RECREATION ADVISORY BOARD MINUTES — May 14, 2018 City of Tigard 1 13125 SW Hall Blvd.,Tigard, OR 97223 1 503-639-4171 1 www.tigard-or.gov Page 2 of 4 • Summer Activity Guide is at the printer. • The Summer Kick-Off Party is June 9, 2018 at Cook Park. • Bike Rodeo was successful. • Recreation will be participating at the City of Tigard Public Works Day on May 19. • If the Levey passes, recreation will fill a position, increase programs, and put on the Fun Run. Mr. Martin gave the following update: ■ City Council passed recommendations on the changes to the PRAB code. • PRAB elections to be on the first meeting after July 1. 8. Non—Agenda Items No items at this time. 9.
