A fire and life safety plan review was conducted on the above captioned
project for- compliance with the 1985 editions of the Uniform Building Code
{. f (UBC) , Uniform Mechanical Code (UMC) , and the Uniform Fire Code (UFC) , as
amended by hashi.ngton County Fire Disl.rict No. 1's Ordinance 86-1 .
If the wall from the corridor to this space is not. constructed as yet . it
must have a fire resistance rating of not less than 1-hour. The opening in
this wall must be protected by a labeled smoke and draft control assembly
having a fire resi.sUance rating of not less than 20-minutes. The door must
be self-closing and must latch positively. I am ..assuming that there are no
relites ou either side of the door. If there are, Lite glass must be 1/4-inch
! . wired and set in a steel. frame. That portion of tie window within this
' coreidor wall must not exceed 25% of Lhe area of said w•al.l .
All doors shown on the drawings must be operable from the inside for
immediate exit at all times without the use of a key, special knowledge, or
effort. (UBC, Sec. 3304)
-:K There must he a floor or landing on each side of all doors. The floor or
landing must not be more than one-inch lower than Lhe threshold of Lhe
doorway unless serving access for the physically handicapped. (UBC Sec. r

Plans referred to and examined by this office contain no provisions for the
alteration or installation of automatic sprinkler system. Not- less than
three sets of plans for the installation shall be submitted to this office
for approval prior to installation. (UEC 302(h))
One -,et of approved plans bearing the stamps of the Washington County
Building Department and Lhis office roust be maintained on the project site
throughout all phases of construction and must- be made available to building
and fire inspectors for reference during required construction inspections.

installation of all utility runs which will be concealed within wall and
partition cavities; (b) upon completion ,)f construction and prior to
occupancy of the tenant space. (UBC Sec. 305)
