Structural inspection for: El Guajillo Restaurant 12725 SW Pacific Hwy APR 19 20113 Tigard, OR 97223 971-294-9897 1)-Scope: The scope of the Inspection involves the Client's intention to move the kitchen entry wall approximately 24" towards the front of the building, add a reach-through opening with a stainless steel counter at the reach-through opening, then add a second screen wall at approximately 96" from the kitchen entry wall with a door opening at each end, and a decorative window at center to obscure the view so that customers cannot see directly into the kitchen area. 2)-Purpose: The purpose of the inspection was to determine the structural value, if any, of the existing kitchen entry separation wall, and kitchen ceiling framing. A visual inspection of the area listed above was performed by a representative Pacific Northwest Engineering Inc on 04/15/2018, in addition to photos taken of the affected walls & ceiling framing members there were also dimensions taken to determine the possible structural loading of the wall being removed. 3)-Findings: After a thorough review of the project, the photos, and the building structure at the time of site inspection. we find that the walls & ceiling framing influenced by the proposed remodel project are simply non-structural in manor of supporting the roof and or any second story loads and are void of any structural value to the building. Also, the new walls will impose now new loads on the basement structure. It is therefore determined by our findings that the alteration - or- removal of the aforementioned framing walls will have absolutely no affect whatsoever on the building's structural integrity. We also find that this remodel will have no change on the "Code Summary" of the existing structure. 4)-Code Summary: The code summary is not changed by this remodel and is theret'ore, as follows: Zone Commercial Construction Type VB Occupancy Group A-2 l3uilding Area (L•xistin2): Basement 274 Sq.
