This bulletin provides response to RFI, design clarifications and/or variation requests for the `River
Terrace SF' project located in Tigard, Oregon.
Per our discussion with Polygon, it's our understanding that for Lots 24 (Plan 3413D), 25 (Plan
3410B) and 26 (Plan 3413A) the exterior crawlspace stud wall height for the rear walls and half the
length of the side walls ranges from 5'-3"+/-to 7'-3"+/-. Based on this information and our review of
the plans, the following revisions shall be made to account for the tall crawlspace studs:
* The stud size and spacing for the tall crawispace studs shall be the same as the standard full
height wall directly above. All posts/bundled studs located in the standard full height wall above
shall be duplicated in the tall crawlspace wall.
*The side tall crawlspace stud walls shall be "P6" shearwalls (no holdowns are required).
* The rear tall crawispace stud walls shall be "P3" shearwalls to match the shearwalls above. The
STHD14 holdown straps shown on the main level shearwall plan shall be replaced with MST48
floor-to-floor holdown straps. The STHD14 holdown straps shall be installed at the base of the tall
crawispace stud wall to the foundation directly underneath/aligned with the MST48 strap above.
The MST48 strap and STHD14 holdown shall be attached to the same set of bundled studs in the
tall crawlspace wall.
