Purpose: Observe Subgrade for Lots 87, 88, and 89

Upon arrival, I observed earthwork crew had excavated to subgrade elevation for lots 87, 88, and 89 and placed
approx. 2"to 6"of compacted crushed rock on the surface. Based on the side walls of the excavation, and the
limited area of subgrade that was exposed while the crew was placing rock, the subgrade generally appeared to be
brown to orange-brown clay with trace organics. Using a%Z"diameter steel foundation rod I probed the subgrade
through the compacted aggerate base. Probing resistance indicated stiff to medium stiff subgrade. I observed the
aggerate base to appear well-keyed and firm underfoot.
Based on our observations and probing, it is our opinion that the subgrade, where observed today and indicated on
attached site plan, has been prepared in general accordance with our geotechnical recommendations.
