Report#: 213 Arrival: 0930 Departure: 1100 Weather: Overcast, 40's Permit#: TBD Site Visit Requested By: Ken (Polygon) Met With (on site): Ken .......... Purpose: Observe lot 93 subgrade, walls north of lots Outstanding Issues: Proof roll road and curb base rock and repair as needed before paving FR-58 (12/06) Decommission temporary storm and sewer lines through Tract E FR-177 soft fill from slope cut in lots 153, 154 and 155 tot 93-Subgrade I.observed crews had excavated to various planned subgf•ade elevations and placed approx. 2"of compacted (small walk behind vibratory smooth plate)%"-0 crushed rock. Resistance to penetration WO"diameter steel foundation probe) indicates medium-stiff to stiff brown silt subgrade conditions. Wall Subgrade While onsite, I was asked to observe walls north of lots 194-207. Brown silt subgrade in areas observed today probed medium-stiff. I observed walls for lots 203-207 had been placed. Crews indicate Geotextile Fabric had been placed over subgrade, perforated drain pipe had been placed and open grade drain rock had been placed. Crews indicate Geogrid (approx. 5' long) had been placed every 16"within wall backfill. Crews indicate Baker(Farmington) "-0 had been placed in approx. 4" lifts and compacted via walk behind vibratory smooth plate.Top soil had been placed over the majority of constructed walls.Areas where topsoil had not been placed, crews indicate were not ready for testing at the time of my visit. I understand density testing recommendations for wall backfill have been provided to Polygon representative by Shawn Dimke (Geo Design, Project Manager). Conclusion Based on our observations and probing, it is our opinion that subgrade areas, where observed today and indicated on attached site plan, have been prepared in general acc.prdance with our geotechnical recommendations.
