Neighbors complained of inoperable vehicles, occupants living in a ramshackle shed and camper, trash and other problems causing neighborhood blight. Haynes, who is assigned to the Washington County Westside Interagency Narcotics (WIN) team, had been alerted to the problem house after receiving complaints and tips from informants. At the meth house, WIN was able to legally search the home. City Creates Connections for Those Who Are Hard of Hearing To help make city meetings accessible for people who are hard of hearing, the city provides assistive listening devices during meetings where audio amplification is used. For residents who communicate using American Sign Language, the city will work with a service provider to have a qualified interpreter at the meeting so the citizen has the opportunity to take part. Conflicting Trends in Traffic Safety An estimated 40,100 people died nationwide in collisions during 2017. This is comparable to 2016, but an increase of 6 percent over 2015.
