The subgrade appeared to consist mainly of moist brown sandy silt based on the sidewalls of excavation cuts. The northern edge of the lot's subgrade appeared to consist of crushed rock fill as observed in previous field reports (see site plan). A thin lift of granular pad material approximately 2-3"thick was placed over the subgrade. Penetrations with a 12"diameter steel foundation probe indicated generally stiff/dense subgrade conditions today(probing through granular pad). Based on observations and probing, it is our opinion that the subgrade for Lot 175 observed today, where indicated on the attached site plan, has been prepared in general accordance with our geotechnical recommendations.
