09/25/2003 - Report Monthly Report Sept. 2003 (Month/Year) for Downtown Task Force (Name of board, committee, task force, group, etc.) Bullets: • Did not meet in August—summer break • Meet next on Sept. 25 1. Meetings were held on(list dates during month) 2. Current activities (summarize): • Potential list of CIP projects submitted by TCDBA; it will be discussed in Sept. • Background report research continues: • Final tabulation of parking survey results. • Land use inventory being conducted • Police incident report of downtown events being tabulated • Joint meeting with City Council on October 21. 3. Status of long-term projects: • Met first charge from Council by completing Recommendations document(March) • Background report topics begin to address second charge from Council (develop a revitalization plan). One topic will be addressed at each meeting. 4. Number of volunteer hours contributed this month(noted number of volunteers and total hours). 0 5. Attachments (include notifications, sign-in sheets,minutes, reports,press releases, proposals, etc.) -List: 6. Any items to be scheduled for on the Council tentative agenda(list item and date): Yes. The original resolution appointing the Task Force needs to be amended through the consent agenda(see number 7 below). Blue sheet will be filed for Oct. 14th consent agenda. 7. Status of members—are there any members scheduled to have their terms expire in the next four months? Are any members indicating that they plan to retire, move or resign soon? Please give details. Our TVF&R representative has changed to reflect staffing changes. The old captain, Mike Duyck,received a new assignment. Ken Dawson replaces him as the new captain and Task Force representative. The Task Force confirmed this at its July meeting. Council will be asked to replace the original resolution with a new resolution that refers to a"TVF&R representative" as opposed to the captain by name. This will allow for future staffing changes.
