05/01/2002 - Report Monthly Report May 2002 for Skateboard Park Task Force (Name of board, committee, task force, group, etc.) 1. Meetings were held on(list dates during month) May 9, 2002—Joint meeting between the Task Force and Summerlake Park neighborhood residents to discuss the feasibility of locating a skateboard facility at Summerlake Park. May 22, 2002—Finance Committee meeting to judge logo contest applications. May 29, 2002—Finance Committee meeting to discuss fundraising and participation at the Balloon Festival 2. Current activities (summarize): There is logo contest currently going on. The winner will be announced at the Balloon Festival. Preparations are made for the June 13 all membership design meeting with the consultant. Site selection is an on-going process. The Task Force Chair is scheduling a meeting with the School District for sometime in June. 3. Status of long-term projects: The major long-term projects continue to be the selection of a site location for the skateboard facility and the subsequent fundraising campaign. The Site Selection committee continues to study City maps to identify potential sites. 4. Number of volunteer hours contributed this month(noted number of volunteers and total hours).N/A 5.
