01/29/2003 Report Monthly Report January 2003 For Skate Park Task Force 1. Meetings were held on(list dates during month) An all task force meeting was held on January 29. Many resident from the Fowler area were in attendance. The audience received an update on the current situation regarding a site location, specifically at Fowler Middle School. The audience gave the following input on potential new sites to consider: Old Library parking lot area, City property on Ash Street, vacant warehouses, approach the School District for other potential sites,bus barn area, and Washington Square. The audience also discussed the possibility of annexation to THPRD. 2. Current activities (summarize): Finance meetings and site selection process. Staff will look into the old Library parking lot area. 3. Status of long-term projects: The major long-term projects continue to be the selection of a site location for the skate park facility and the subsequent fundraising campaign. A full-fledged fundraising effort is in a holding position because a site has not been secured. 4. Number of volunteer hours contributed this month(noted number of volunteers and total hours).N/A 5.
