• Planning Street Tree Planting Program
• Planning Urban Forest management Plan
• Public Tree Care Ordinance
3. Status of long-term projects:
• The Street Tree Planting Program is just getting off the ground with applications
being sent out during July.
• The Urban Forest Management Plan development has begun with the beginning of the
street tree inventory and the ordinance for tree care and protection on public property
close to being completed.
4. Number of volunteer hours contributed this month (noted number of volunteers and total
hours).
• Four volunteers X 2 hours = 8 Hours
5. Attachments (include notifications, sign-in sheets, minutes, reports, press releases,
proposals, etc.) - List:
• Minutes attached
6. Any items to be scheduled for on the Council tentative agenda(list item and date):
• I will be presenting the Tree Care Ordinance to the City Council hopefully this
summer or early fall.
7. Status of members—are there any members scheduled to have their terms expire in the
next four months? Are any members indicating that they plan to retire, move or resign
soon? Please give details.

Matt Stine.

Minutes corrections from April's meeting; no corrections, minutes approved.
City updates:
• Arbor Day
• Tree Care Ordinance
• SOLV volunteer project on April 20th
• "Down by the Riverside" volunteer project on May 18th
• Intern for street tree inventory
• Grant proposal- develop partnerships with non-profit organizations and
grant applications
• Interviews for Tree Board.

• Roles of Tree Board- revisions due at June meeting

• Minutes- less detail. Include motions (approval/rejection) and special
requests.
