We understand that anchors were installed without special inspection and some anchors did not achieve full embedment. Our recommendations are based on 1.5 times the cracked concrete design capacity of the 3/8" diameter x 3" Titen HD anchors noted on the project drawings, assuming a minimum 5" concrete slab on grade with a minimum 2,500 psi 28 day concrete compressive strength (modified to allowable strength levels). Anchor testing shall be performed by an independent testing agency retained by you or your company. Testing Recommendations: Tension test load: 1,250 pounds. Acceptance criteria—anchor maintains test load for 1 minute. 1. Test all anchors that have had the top of the anchor cut off or anchor length above the slab that would indicate incomplete embedment. 2. Test 10% of remaining anchors. Notify engineer after first failed anchor in this group and load at failure before continuing. 3. If any of the 10%fail—test an additional 10%. 4. If any of the second 10%fail—test all remaining anchors. 5. Prepare a report of findings, including identifying anchors tested, anchors that fail the test (if any) and load at failure. Limitations: WDY has not analyzed the trampoline system. The recommendations contained herein are based solely on the capacity of the anchors specified on the project drawings dated Rev no. 1, 02.10.2017. WDY is not responsible for the design of the trampoline system or trampoline anchorage. Please contract our office if you have any questions or if we can be of any further assistance. WDY, INC.
