Buff Brown; Mike McCarthy(SRTS) Visitors: Item # (Time) AGENDA Items with Meeting Notes # 1 (5:00) Welcome and Introductions Round the table introductions. # 2 (5:02) Review and Approve Meeting Notes October meeting minutes accepted by those in attendance. NOTE: PBS is not required to approve its notes/minutes. #3 (5:05) Member and Guest Communications Steve gave comments about local interests in a Bike Share program. Buff commented in support of the interest for a program. Currently there is no Bike Share in Tigard. Serge attend SW Corridor Task Force monthly meeting for October. The committee broke into groups to discuss project and choose LRT option 4. Tigard business alliance spoke in favor of the project. Local measure to support funding for the project will wait until 2020 local elections. #4 (5:20) Fanno Creek Trail Project/Advisory Committee (Mike) Mike gave short summary of Fanno Creek trail project segment by segment with some details on each section. A consultant design group has been selected for the project. Mike talked about design requirements, construction, a TAC, and creek alignment or re-meander, Mike answered questions from the group including question from Alan about follow up to request to fix problem section of path. Mike said he passed the concern onto city maintenance but would ask them again about this. #5 (5:35) Speed Reduction Campaign (Buff) Buff presented SRC to TTAC. The timing was good as Safe Routes To Schools coordinator and others are working towards similar goal. Shaina Hobbs SRTS Coordinator was supportive of yard signs use. Tigard Strategic Leadership also interested in the topic. (Buff) Basil asked related question about use of Stop Lines at unsignalized intersections and city policy regarding use on arterial and collector streets. Mike responded and share city direction on this. #6 (5:48) Short Term Fixes for Big Projects (Alan, others) Serge share photos of various Tigard street locations with commentary about use by bikes or peds and what's good and what's not so good. Alan and Jonny also share photos of other locations frequented and too gave commentary. Group was very receptive to photos as images helped with content and context of comments and offered a better opportunity to ask questions, make comments, and facilitate good discussion. #7 (6:20) Group Ride; Sunday November 26 This was a reminder to members. # 8 (6:34) Engineering Update: Repaving/construction (Mike) Mike shared update on Tigard projects and plans. #9 (6:35) PBS Member Update (Joyce) Joyce is stepping down as PBS Chair as of November. Her last committee activity will be the December when PBS gets together at local establishment to celebrate 2017 PBS work and the December holiday. Joyce will be missed! Meeting Adjourned
