SUBJECT: Library Annual Report to City Council
As you requested, I am reminding you that the Library Annual Report will be presented to
City Council on October 4, 1982, at the study session. The meeting is scheduled for 7:30
at Fowler Jr. High.
The Council has asked that Board members come and discuss their concerns and priorities
for library service following the report. I would like to add my request for your
presence as well. I sincerely believe that it will help our cause to be present in a
group ready to discuss pertinent library issues.
I will have copies of my report ready on Thursday, as well as copies of the city's DRAFT
Five-year Financial Plan and Cut-Back Options Study. Because this is a lot of paper to
be mailing (and that late! ) I am asking that you come by and pick up your materials. We
just glanced at the five-year plan at the last meeting, but I'm sure there will be dis-
cussion on it. I've tried to underline those portions pertaining to the Library, but I
urge you to look over the whole thing.
