Chairman Amo DeBernardis made an informal report outlining the Library's activities during the past year. There was discussion on future plans for library service in Tigard, and the Library's policy for handling requests to reconsider materials in the collection. Chairman DeBernardis thanked the Council for the opportunity to meet with them and for their support for the Library program. Call to Order: 7:00 p.m., Chairman Amo DeBernardis presiding. Roll Call: Susan Grossen, Linda Monahan, Leslie Wismer Absent: Carl Kostol, Vince Matarrese (Marla Resnick submitted her resignation) Guest: Yvonne Burgess Staff. Irene Ertell Reports: Minutes for the November 8, 1990 meeting were approved as written. Monthly report was distributed for November was distributed by Library Director. There was discussion concerning the increasing circulation, installation of the new shelves, and the '"Teen Impact" Newsletter. Friends of the Library report was presented by Yvonne Burgess. The Friends have raised $600.00 by selling 75 copies of the 1991 Entertainment Book. New officers elected are George Burgess,President, and George Anne Miller, Secretary. Cooperative Library Advisofy Board,(CLABreport was presented by Yvonne Burgess. The WCCLS Professional Board and CLAB have established a public relations committee to give more exposure to WCCLS as a cooperative network of individual libraries. The plan is to establish a timeline for three years for continual events to publicize library service in Washington County. Library Issues Update: The board discussed the upcoming policy review, the recognition board, and the amount of money expected from the WCCLS levy.
