This letter is in regards to the residential addition listed above. It is our understanding
that one of the garage shear walls was installed without blocking at the panel edges.
In lieu of blocking it is structurally acceptable to provide a continuous flat 2x member
on the outside of the plywood along the unblocked edges. This 2x member is to be
placed along the plywood joint and nailed to each adjoining plywood panel edge
with 8d nails that match the shear wall edge nail spacing.
