Attending: Wayne Lawry, Sherrie Burbank, Nadine Robinson, Bruce Olson, Carol
Hausauer' and Randy Clarno.
Absent: Don Palme ice Carrick,and Marcha Hunt.
Items covered:
1. Overview of systems by Bruce. Police network up and running with
considerable use. Camunity Development network being implemented and also
receiving alot f use. No signifcant changes with the Community Services
network1showever; possible expansion is being studied:4The Library, with Bruce's
help, will be looking at hooking up to the Comunity ices network.

Budget gneparation for computer equipment number of unresolved issues will
of eat how. "lap our budgets. nile we ai6e working on those issues over the
next few should should be noting what we think our needs will be next year.
3.fFur ction of user committee. A very basic question concerning the function of
the user committee has been raised now that the city is under new
administration. Randy will discuss this with Pat Reilly.
4- Coputer software and hardware purchases. For a number of reasons the
committee recammends that Bruce check all computer related purchases effective
'mmediately.
5. Computer related work request. Beginn.ingimmediatelyal requests for

the electronic mail systemAWitten request can be made using the RFA foam.
6.�Bruce Olson is scheduled to update the computer master plan before Council
on January 16','1989. This update will include a feasibility report on converting
mainframe and mini computers in Community Services to PC networks.
