Staff has conducted a review and requested permanent disturbance within Vegetated Corridors to be calculated. Following the review of submitted materials, it appears that approximately 153 ft2 of buffers associated with the sensitive areas within the study area will be permanently impacted and the project work limits is approximately 1,050 ft2 (calculation of area within erosion control fencing). In light of this result, the applicant shall enhance 1,356 ft2 of the on-site vegetated corridor (1,050 ft2 as 1:1 "enhancement" equal to project area and 306 ft2 as 2:1 mitigation for permanent impacts). Enhancement shall consist of removing non-native plants (such as yellow flag iris and reed canary grass) and improving the understory plant community with 50 native shrubs and groundcover plants. This document will serve as your Service Provider letter as required by Resolution and Order 07-20, Section 3.02.1. All required permits and approvals must be obtained and completed under applicable local, state, and federal law. This letter does NOT eliminate the need to protect additional Sensitive Areas and Vegetated Corridors if they are subsequently identified on your site.
