03/21/1989 - Minutes »*moo, WILITY AND FRANCHISE COMMITTEE MINUTES OF MARCH 21' 1980 Call to order at 7:05 p.m. Members present: McReynolds, Irwin' Jacobs, Wogen Others : Mike Leiohner, Tom Miller, Larry Schmidt, Mrs . Luiuhner Visitors: Eric Kronwitter The minutes of January 17, 1980' were approved as submitted. The Committee was given a copy of the agreement to work with Washington County on the Yard Debris Recycling Program. There was some discussion about the process, The Committee wanted to know who the City' s representative was going to be. Eldon Wogen brought up the subject of plastic reoyoling. There was discussion regarding this subject and a decision that plastics would be a good subject for a future meeting, The Committee Chairman declared an Executive Session to discuss the solid waste haulers annual financial reports . The solid waste haulers and visitors were excused from the session, Executive Session was concluded and the haulers invited back in at 7:50 p.m. The aggregate profit percent was determined to be 0.70 percent which falls within the 8 to 12 percent margin policy out by the City Council . A motion was made to forward a recommendation to the City Council that no ratu adjustment be made at this time. The motion was seconded and all members present approved the motion as stated . A discussion of storm drainage followed. Tom Miller felt that the next Metro increase would not be until April of 1090. The meeting was adjourned at 0: 15 p.m. ke/y336D ,4"i ll-/, 1�1 ell-
