Minutes of Meeting, April 10, 1988
PRESENT: McReynolds, Barrett, Cochran, Jacobs, Wogan
Ex-Officio Schmidt, Mi000etz, Liouhnu, Miller
Called to order at 7:05 p.m.
Minutes accepted.
Late fees: Commercial billed each month, don't pay - finanoe charge, not
addressed franchise agreement - can charge in advance for
non-established credit up to three months in advance. Gerry not
opposed to finance charge or advance charge as long an it is
stated within company and applied to everyone. Haulers to develop
policy for late payers for next meeting based on Gerry` o remarks .
Larry brought up renters who move into house which has an unpaid
bill - are paid in advance.
Complaint: Will restate facts, captive only to extent of use of franchise
services, could have it himself, "monopoly" provides stable
service and protects public with liability insurance. Wayne will
write letter.
Wayne wrote letter to Carolyn Feldman about PGE complaint.
Franchise update: Task force working on updates - Wayne put together
information from other cities showing that they are doing the same
things committee would like to do. Monthly payments, etc.
Next meeting - May 24 at 7:00 p.m.
Meeting adjourned at 8:06 p.m.
