SUBJECT: 11/6/97 Meeting
Attached is the meeting packet for the 11/6/97 meeting. The packet includes the agenda, the
10/30/97 meeting minutes and three charts for our work session.
The first chart presents options for the substantive provisions to be included in Tigard's housing
code. The first column is what is contained in Portland's code. The next two columns indicate if
that item is included in Salem's code or in the Uniform Housing Code. The last column is for your
use in deciding what to include in our code. Please be prepared to discuss and decide which
provisions should be included in Tigard's code.
The second chart presents options for what types of properties should be subject to the provisions
of Tigard's housing code. Please be prepared to discuss and decide what types of properties
should be included in Tigard's program.
The last chart presents options for enforcement strategies. Please be prepared to discuss and
decide what strategies should be employed in Tigard's program.
It is my goal to complete work on these issues at the 11/6/97 meeting. If we do, we will move on
to the resource needs, cost, funding mechanisms and implementation and program policy issues at
our next meeting(s).
