Meet inQB
The December meeting is cancelled but there will be a meeting in January.
Please mark January 10, 1991, on your calendar.
In January, the Committee will be asked to review proposals for changes to the
Comprehensive Plan Transportation Map. The proposed changes all relate to the
downtown Tigard area. The Planning Commission has reviewed the proposals. The
City Council will hold a hearing in late January. Later this month, we expect
to mail you the Planning Division's staff report on the proposed Comprehensive
Plan changes, along with the Planning Commission's recommendations, so that you
will have sufficient time to review the material before January 10th.
Also, remember that election of officers is required at the first meeting of
each year.
Proiects
The power poles are finally out of the way on Durham Road, and we expect the
project to be completed this month (between rain storms) .
The 121st project and the Walnut Street project are completed except for some
final cleanup.
On Greenburg Road, the storm drainage system to Fanno Creek is completed and
the underground utility work along Greenburg will be completed in about a
month. All should be ready for the street improvements to start in the spring.
Design is proceeding on all of the remaining Street Bond projects. Right-of-
way acquisition has begun on McDonald Street.
Bids were opened for the traffic signal at 92nd and Durham Road, with low bid
well below the estimated cost. We expect this signal to go in during the
spring.
The Greenburg/Cascade signal was placed in operation in November.
The State Highway Division has opened bids for the widening of Scholls Ferry
Road between Fanno Creek and Murray Boulevard. This construction project will
be going on throughout 1991. The State is also out to bid on the intersection
improvement project at Hall and Burnham, which will include traffic signals.
The coming year will continue to be a time of major street construction
throughout Tigard.
